More Buttony Please
Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to look at numerous compositions and actual web pages. One of the terms I’ve often found myself saying is”More Buttony.” “More Buttony” is powerful stuff. I’ve seen it dramatically increase click-through and reduce abandonment. It’s amazing how often it’s overlooked and ignored. Here’s a great example I found that prompted me to write this. Symbiotic Synergies
We’re starting to see a lot of activity from private and public organizations looking to design and implement various types of open source Web solutions. Along with this trend is an increasing demand for information architecture, user experience, and design. A challenge these organizations face is finding a one-stop solution that can handle not only the technical complexities, but also the artistic science of creating engaging user experiences. The truth is, finding a one-stop solution can prove a challenging proposition.
Often times there are opportunities for technical integrators to partner with design agencies with one of the two becoming the primary vendor and the other a subcontractor. With this model, organizations need to do their due diligence to ensure that the right combination of vendors delivers the best possible solution.
